Eight players withdraw from the England national team amid an injury crisis

Eight English national team players withdrew from the November international break's Nations League matches on Monday. Lee Carsley cannot access Alexander-Arnold, Colwill, Foden, Grealish, Palmer, Ramsdale, Rice, or Saka.

During the November international break, England manager Lee Carsley was compelled to make many last-minute substitutions because eight players pulled out of the national squad in anticipation of their Nations League match.

After Thursday's match against Greece in Athens, the Three Lions will meet the Republic of Ireland on Sunday at Wembley. Before Thomas Tuchel takes over as permanent manager on January 1st, the latter match will be Carsley's last as an interim manager.

But with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Levi Colwill, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Cole Palmer, Aaron Ramsdale, Declan Rice, and Bukayo Saka all out with injuries, the interim manager will have to handle the doubleheader without any regulars.

On Monday, the team announced that Morgan Rogers, Jarrod Bowen, Jarrad Branthwaite, Tino Livramento, and James Trafford would join the team to replace the unavailable Englishmen. Among Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers, this is her first senior call-up.
