Enyimba will compete against two Egyptian clubs, Zamalek and Al Masry, in the group stage to become the first Nigerian team to capture the CAF Confederation Cup.
The draw was conducted at the Confederation of African Football offices in Cairo on Monday, and the Mozambican team Black Bulls emerged victorious in Group D.
Enyimba has been the most successful Nigerian club in CAF competitions, having won the Champions League and Super Cup for consecutive years from 2003 to 2005.
However, the second Super Cup victory was the final time a club from the African football powerhouses of Nigeria lifted a CAF trophy.
Enyimba, a team based in the southeastern city of Aba, failed to impress during the qualification process for the group phase. They were held to two 0-0 draws with the modest Burkina Faso Etoile Filante before ultimately emerging victorious on penalties.
Zamalek are the most probable group champions, with Masry and Enyimba likely to compete for second place and qualification to the quarterfinals.
CS Sfaxien from Tunisia, the record three-time title holder, was assigned to Group A with Simba, the first Tanzanian club among the top qualifiers in a CAF groups draw.
Simba will also face CS Constantine, an Algerian team with a perfect record in Africa this season after winning all four qualifiers, and Bravos Maquis, an Angolan team.
In Group B, Stellenbosch, a South African club, is one of six group-stage debutants. Renaissance Berkane, a Moroccan club, has reached four of the last six finals and won two.
The 2009 champions Stade Malien from Mali and Lunda Sul from Angola will also be played by the team from a rugby union stronghold near Cape Town.
The Confederation Cup is the African equivalent of the UEFA Europa League.
