Paris Olympics: D’Tigress lose 75 – 54 to host nation France

The women's basketball team from Nigeria, D'Tigress, fell to France in their second Olympic Group B match in Paris.

 

In their first match, the Nigerian team stunned world number three Australia. However, they could not sustain their lead against the resolute French side.

 

With a lead of over 20 points before the game's climax, France cruised to a 75-54 triumph.

The game got off to a challenging start, with D'Tigress down 24-20 at the end of the quarter. At halftime, the lead had grown to 38–31, and by the end of the third quarter, it had grown even more to 54–39.
