Hiroki Ito, Dayot Upamecano, and Alphonso Davies are all out with injury, while Manuel Neuer is questionable to start in goal for the Bayern.

If Kompany does not gamble with Neuer's health, Jonas Urbig will continue to play behind a back four of Konrad Laimer, Eric Dier, Josip Stanisic, and Raphael Guerreiro.

The front line will likely include Michael Olise, Leroy Sane, Harry Kane, and seasoned player Thomas Muller, as attacking midfielder Jamal Musiala is questionable to return for the rest of the season.

With the exception of two central defenders, Maxim Leitsch and Moritz Jenz, Mainz's injury report is much more manageable.

A possible starting lineup for the central defense might be Danny da Costa, Stefan Bell, and Dominik Kohr, with Kaishu Sano and Nadiem Amiri forming a double pivot.
