Germany W vs Denmark W: UEFA Women Match Preview, Odds & Predictions

Germany Women will look to keep their winning streak going when they take on Denmark Women on Tuesday, following their first-match triumph against Poland.

In the meantime, following a close loss to Sweden, Denmark is seeking its first point in the Women's Euro 2025.

Previous Matches and Head-to-Head

With a perfect record of advancement from the group stage of the European Championship, Germany is already well-positioned to continue this success.

The 2022 runners-up beat Poland 2-0 in the first match of the tournament thanks to two goals scored in the second half.

Germany took the lead in the 52nd minute with an unassisted goal by Jule Brand, who had previously set up Lea Schuller to increase her team's lead with an assist.

Consequently, Germany has won their last six matches in a row, scoring 26 goals in the process.

Additionally, Christian Wuck's squad has recorded a shutout in each of their last three games, for a total of four clean sheets in their previous five encounters.

Assuming Sweden can avoid losing to Poland in their other group game, Germany has a good chance of advancing to the next round if they overcome Denmark.

In the most recent history of the European Championships, Denmark has achieved success, reaching the semi-finals in 2013 and finishing second to the Netherlands in 2017.

But after going out in the group stage of the 2022 tournament, they are now in danger of going out early again.

In their first match, the Danes battled hard against Sweden, but Filippa Angeldal's second-half goal proved to be the game-winner.

Danes will be feeling less than confident heading into a tough encounter with the record European champions after losing three of their last four internationals (1-0).

If Sweden beats Poland, the Red and White will be out of the tournament with one game remaining, and Poland will take home a point from their encounter with Sweden.

In their last four head-to-head encounters against Germany, Denmark has gone 2-2. This includes a 2-0 home victory and a 3-0 away loss in the 2023-24 Nations League.

Germany Women vs Denmark Women Team News

The medial cruciate ligament injury that Germany captain Giulia Gwinn suffered in the first match has rendered her out for the remainder of the competition.

Against Denmark, Charlotte Wamser, who came off the bench to replace Gwinn in the first half, may have the opportunity to start on the right side of defense.

With four goals in her last three international matches, Schuller will likely keep her place at the front of Germany's scoring chart.

Andree Jeglertz, coach of the Danes, is set to maintain his starting trio of Emma Faerge, Stine Ballisager, and Katrine Veje in defense.

To infuse some new life into the midfield, Josefine Hasbo might be considered, while Signe Bruun could be regarded as if Jeglertz decides to switch things up up front.

When she starts up front against Germany, Denmark's all-time leading scorer, Harder, will be aiming to increase her international goal total to 78.
