In a Brasileirao Serie A match, hosts Gremio will be looking to keep winning when they visit Corinthians.

There is only one point separating the two teams in the standings; however, the Immortal Tricolour comes into this match riding a wave of three straight wins in all competitions while the visitors are still struggling with their offense and overall form.

A return to form for Gremio has been based on a more strong defense; the team has gone four games in a row in all competitions without allowing a goal.

During that period, Mano Menezes's squad has played in two league matches. They won their first match of 2025 on the road, a composed 2-0 triumph over Juventude, after a 1-0 home success over Bahia.

Interspersed with those league matches were two professional tournament victories, one against Sportivo Luqueno (1-0) and another against CSA (0-0) in the Copa do Brasil.

While center-back Rodrigo Ely has been out for an extended period due to a severe knee injury, Francis Amuzu is fighting to recover from an illness in time to be selected.

Gustavo Henrique (groin injury) and Yuri Alberto (leading striker, recurrent lower back trouble) are two of Corinthians' most important players who will be unable to play.
