Crystal Palace vs. Wolverhampton: EPL Match Preview, Odds & Prediction

On Tuesday, Crystal Palace will host Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League at Selhurst Park. The Eagles are the FA Cup winners.

On Saturday, Palace won the FA Cup with a 1-0 victory against Manchester City at Wembley. They now sit in 12th position with 49 points, while Wolves are in 14th place with eight points less after losing 2-0 to Brighton & Hove Albion on May 10.

Previous Matches and Head-to-head

Crystal Palace managed just two shots in the FA Cup final but won't mind, having already secured the trophy. Though they're leaving the Premier League after this season, a top-10 finish — their best since 2013-14 — is still within reach. After a 2-0 win over Spurs on May 11, they need just one point to match their highest top-flight points total since promotion.

Glasner's side is unbeaten in four (two wins, two draws) and unbeaten in eight at Selhurst Park, with six wins, four clean sheets, and 15 goals.

Wolves, meanwhile, have scored 13 and kept three clean sheets in their last six but are winless in two, conceding three goals without reply. Despite a 2-2 draw in their previous meeting with Palace, Vitor Pereira's side has lost six of their past eight against the Eagles. After a six-game winning streak — including wins over Spurs and Man United — Wolves have dropped their last two. Notably, they've won four of their previous five away but failed to win any of their past six at home.

Crystal Palace x Wolverhampton Team News

Because Palace's exploits in the FA Cup were exhausting, several players in the starting XI might be benched or replaced, making lineup prediction challenging.

With concerns about center-back Marc Guehi, midfielder Jefferson Lerma could fill in for the captain in the backline and play alongside central defenders Chris Richards and Maxence Lacroix.

Will Hughes and Daichi Kamada might form a double pivot due to the uncertainty around Adam Wharton's health and Cheick Doucoure's injury.

With Eberechi Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta rested, Romain Esse and Edward Nketiah could begin the assault with Ismaila Sarr.

Regarding Wolves, Pereira may start Matt Doherty, Emmanuel Agbadou, and Toti Gomes in place of Jose Sa due to the unavailability of goalkeeper Sam Johnstone and center-back Yerson Mosquera.

On the other hand, Sasa Kalajdzic, Leon Chiwome, Hwang Hee-Chan, and Enso Gonzalez are all expected to miss the game with injuries.

Talisman Matheus Cunha can be expected to be supportive next to Marshall Munetsi, and the duo could be stationed behind Goncalo Guedes.

Our Predictions

Wolves to win @ 2.80 on Sky247.ng

Despite the injuries in their front line, Wolves should be confident in their ability to create multiple opportunities against a joyful Palace side.

Given the Eagles will almost certainly rest key stars on Tuesday, the visitors should be seen as clear favorites to claim all three points.
