Chelsea will take on Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon, aiming to prolong their incredible Premier League run. Will Chelsea be able to keep up with Liverpool? Here are our match analysis and predictions.

Previous Matches and Head-to-head

First, the hosts' Sean Dacha has taken a lot of weight off of himself after last weekend's tenacious effort, resulting in a scoreless draw away at Arsenal. After getting a much-needed lift earlier in the month with a 4-0 thrashing of Wolves, Everton is eager to extend its lead in the race for promotion.

Nevertheless, the Toffees have not been able to establish much consistency in the latter third despite their outstanding performance at Goodison Park on December 4th. With their most recent goalless draw (against Brentford) at the end of November, Everton now has a Premier League goalless streak of five games.

The blue half of Merseyside has not seen a Premier League loss for Dyche's squad since the end of August, and they face what promises to be a serious battle this weekend.

As for the away team, Chelsea is now experiencing a purple patch because of Enzo Maresca's arrival in the summer, which has led to a phenomenal increase. With a two-point lead over second place in the Premier League with this weekend's games to come, the former Leicester manager's team is riding high.

The visitors on Sunday will hope to put down another marker here as they continue to win accolades worldwide.

Chelsea have won their past eight consecutive matches in all competitions after cruising to a 5-1 victory against Shamrock Rovers of Ireland on Tuesday, extending their 100% Europa Conference League record. Similarly, Maresca will be hoping for a repeat performance on Sunday after winning a 6-0 victory at home to Everton in April.

Everton x Chelsea Team News

James Garner, a former Manchester United youth, will be absent from Everton for the second time in many games. Garner has not played since early October. Even though Armando Broja made his Everton debut against the Wolves on December 4th, he will not be permitted to play against his parent club, Chelsea, since he is on loan.

36-year-old veteran defender Seamus Coleman will be content to sit on the bench despite the possibility of a return to Dyche's team earlier this month. Jarrad Branthwaite will play with James Tarkowski in the backfield, who has once again attracted heavyweight attention.

The Ukrainian international Mykhailo Mudryk will not be playing here due to reports that he tested positive for a prohibited drug earlier this week. Similarly, Chelsea will be without captain Reece James for a second straight game after he suffered another knee setback last month.

Many key players, including Cole Palmer, Nicolas Jackson, Romeo Lavia, Moises Caicedo, and Levi Colwill, will be available for Thursday night's match against Shamrock Rovers. Similarly, Robert Sanchez, who was Brighton's goalkeeper, will start in net again.

Our Predictions

Chelsea to win @ 1.67 on Sky247.ng

Opening this weekend's fixtures, sat just two points adrift of finding a route to the top of the Premier League table; Chelsea will simply be looking to make another statement here. Winning each of their previous eight appearances across all competitions, Sunday's guests are certainly firing on all cylinders. Landing a thumping 6-0 victory when they welcomed Everton to Stamford Bridge for their most recent Premier League battle on April 15th, we are backing a similar away win in the blue half of Merseyside.
