Jamie Vardy brutally taunts Tottenham fans over Premier League title failures

After scoring to save a draw for Leicester against Ange Postecoglou's men, Jamie Vardy viciously attacked Tottenham supporters for their team's inability to win the Premier League championship.

The seasoned striker was instrumental in Leicester's 2015–16 championship run, a season in which Spurs were among their fiercest opponents. Ultimately, Leicester and Vardy celebrated a tremendous victory, while the London side faded to third place.

On Monday night, in Postecoglou's first Premier League match of the new season at the King Power Stadium, he once again proved their nemesis. The away team was in control for the better part of the match, and Pedro Porro put them ahead shortly before halftime.

Despite setting up Vardy for an equalizer twelve minutes into the second half, Spurs failed to score a second goal. After Abdul Fatawu crossed the ball so he could nod home at the back post, the Leicester skipper lost his man.

When Spurs replaced Vardy, who was 37 years old and had 11 minutes remaining, he made it apparent that he and the club did not get along. Vardy redirected his attention to the part of the stadium where Spurs supporters were seated before proceeding to the sideline.

After that, he raised a finger to indicate his championship triumph, then pointed to the Premier League emblem on his shirt sleeve. After pointing to the Spurs supporters, Vardy formed a zero with his hand to emphasize the club's Premier League victories.

After the match, Vardy downplayed his gesture, saying it's just "part of football." He said his Leicester squad conducted a halftime investigation in an effort to save the match.

During halftime, we just had a little conversation. The momentum shifted when we began to attack Tottenham, a great team because we respect them too much. When the clock hit 40 minutes, we told you to go in with no more goals scored. We'll accept this as a point and proceed.

I was in tip-top shape until about 65 minutes in! In terms of my gameplay, much has not changed. Dropping in may have helped me adjust, but what's important is that I am taking the utmost care of myself in terms of healing.

Vardy finally made himself accessible to Leicester manager Steve Cooper this week after missing much of preseason due to injury. Liverpool icon Jamie Carragher praised the veteran's performance, and he was thrilled that Vardy was well enough to start.

Thankfully, Jamie Vardy went to meet Steve Cooper to let him know he was OK to play, he told Sky Sports. James Vardy, you will never change. The second half was a complete washout because of the increased intensity with which they attacked Tottenham.
