New Update
liverpool-salah

Both Brentford and Liverpool are aiming to keep their winning streaks going in the Premier League.

The newly promoted Reds were far superior to their more seasoned Premier League opponents for many portions of the match, resulting in a 2-0 victory for the Reds and a successful debut for new manager Arne Slot.

Brentford, on the other hand, defeated Crystal Palace 2-1 but will be realistic about the need to step up their game if they want to keep winning against more fancied opponents.

Previous Matches and head-to-head

Liverpool's match against Brentford on Sunday will be the last one in the Premier League round 2. Following up on their 2-0 victory against Ipswich Town, the Reds will maintain their aggressive style of play. There are no new injury concerns for Arne Slot's squad, and Dutch attacker Cody Gakpo is eager to have the ball. Once again, Mohamed Salah should continue to start in the starting lineup after scoring against the Tractor Boys.

In the season opener, the Bees prevailed against Crystal Palace 2-1. However, considering their struggles on the road, we are inclined to back the hosts, who are in the hunt for the crown this time around. Keep in mind that Liverpool is chasing a national title, and they defeated Brentford for the fourth time in a row. The away team is without Aaron Hickey and Joshua Da Silva due to injury.

Liverpool x Brentford team news

Arne Slot may yet make changes to Liverpool's lineup, even if the Reds' injury report is clear for their season opener.

Jarell Quansah, a young defender, was substituted in for Ibrahima Konate at halftime of the Reds' victory against Ipswich. The manager later said that the substitution was tactical. The future of Quansah's starting position is still being determined.

With his future at Brentford still up in the air, Ivan Toney is once again not anticipated to play a role. Unless you include Aaron Hickey and Rico Henry, who won't be returning until next month, and Joshua Dasilva and Igor Thiago, who will be out for longer, it's business as usual.

Our Predictions

Liverpool to win @ 1.30 on Sky247.ng

Liverpool took their time to find their groove vs Ipswich, but once they did, they were unstoppable. Like Crystal Palace, Brentford got off to a poor start and needed help getting into gear.

With this being the Reds' first home game of the year, they should cruise to victory.
