New Update
Juventus vs. Napoli

Juventus will welcome Antonio Conte's Napoli in Turin for a two-Serie A heavyweights matchup on Saturday night.

The hosts remain undefeated and convincingly returned to the Champions League last week, but the visitors have recovered from a first-day loss to win all three of their matches in a row.

Previous Matches and Head-to-head

After a year-long absence, Juventus returned to the Champions League on Tuesday, taking on PSV Eindhoven, reigning Eredivisie champions and known for their prolific scoring. Despite losing their record of clean sheets, Thiago Motta's squad won 3-1 in the league-phase opener.

Even losing in stoppage time couldn't dampen the lustre of a statement win; goals from Nico Gonzalez and Weston McKennie put the points out of PSV's grasp after Kenan Yildiz had opened the scoring.

After getting out to a hot start under new coach Motta with back-to-back 3-0 victories, Juve cooled down a little and drew Roma and Empoli 0-0.

With several new acquisitions joining a small group of promising young players, the Bianconeri may be in championship contention this season, as they have already achieved only the fifth-ever run of four consecutive clean sheets to begin a Serie A season.

Having played to a draw before the international break, Juventus will face Napoli on Saturday in a matchup where a point will favour shock leaders Udinese.

When one of Juve's all-time great managers comes to Turin this weekend, the Serie A club will be looking to keep their winning streak over Napoli at ten games in a row, including a 1-0 victory last season.

Antonio Conte is second in victory percentage in all competitions, with at least 50 games in command of the Bianconeri, at 68%. In addition, he has exceeded 100 victories with Juventus, making him one of only six managers to do so.

Conte will return to the Allianz Stadium with no emotion as he attempts to orchestrate a triumph against his old team, Inter Milan, as he was previously manager of Juve's bitter rivals.

Recent trends indicate that Napoli can collect all three points this time around against Juventus, as they have won six of their past nine Serie A games against Juventus, matching their previous 22-game winning streak.

After getting off to a difficult start in the Coppa Italia and losing their league opener 3-0 to Hellas Verona, the Azzurri have found their groove and are now in second position in the rankings with nine points out of a possible twelve.

Naples ' confidence has been on the rise with three straight victories—an average of three goals per game—and Cagliari's most recent 4-0 thrashing.

With goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Romelu Lukaku in Sardinia, Napoli are within striking distance of matching their best Serie A winning streak since the beginning of last season, when Luciano Spalletti's team was cruising to the title.

A race to the finish line. Given the presence of Conte on the bench and the fact that they will get most midweeks off after their disastrous 2023–24 season, this term is certainly not out of the question.

Next week, Napoli will face Palermo in the Coppa Italia, but before that, they must attempt to defeat an old rival.

 Juventus x Napoli Team News

Due to Juventus' midweek match, Thiago Motta may start substituting Khephren Thuram, Nicolo Fagioli, and Douglas Luiz to earn a promotion.

Brazilian versatile defender Danilo might start in the host team's back four after Federico Gatti's injury withdrawal on Tuesday. Arkadiusz Milik, a former Napoli striker, and Francisco Conceicao are the only players who will not be playing.

Dusan Vlahovic, who is expected to start up front, will be looking to improve his record against Saturday's opponents. The Serbian has scored only once in 516 minutes played against Napoli this season.

Romelu Lukaku, the new offensive hope for the visitors, has scored in each of his Premier League and Serie A debuts, but he has failed to score in either of his first three matches.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and David Neres or Matteo Politano will bolster the last third. At the same time, Antonio Conte's midfield options are still up in the air after the debuts of Billy Gilmour and Scott McTominay, two Scottish players, last week.

Napoli can identify their starting eleven with confidence after a week of training. They are healthy and ready to go.
