On Thursday at Houston's Shell Energy Stadium, Trinidad and Tobago will take on Haiti, two teams looking to kick off their CONCACAF Gold Cup journey.

The Haitians lost by a razor-thin margin of one goal against Saudi Arabia last weekend, while the Soca Warriors were thrashed 5-0 by the US in their first game of the season.

Joevin Jones closed the gap on Trinidad and Tobago's cap total in the loss to the United States, while his brother Alvin Jones started in the back five despite receiving a red card in their last World Cup qualifying match.

Justin Garcia, Noah Powder, and Isaiah Lee were the three substitutes for Rio Cardines, Dante Sealy, and Levi Garcia, respectively, in Yorke's starting eleven. None of these players began the qualifier against Costa Rica.

Regarding Haiti, they substituted Martin Experience with Markhus Duke Lacroix in their lineup change from the one that began their World Cup qualifying encounter against Curacao.

With Johny Placide aiming to achieve 75 caps on Thursday, the attacking trio of Duckens Nazon, Frantzdy Pierrot, and Raul Jimenez will be crucial. Nazon and Pierrot have scored eight goals each in this campaign.
